500 g potatoes
1 tsp red chilli powder
5-6 onions
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp urad dal
1/4 tsp saunf
few curry leaves
2-3 garlic cloves
1 green chilli
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
  • Wash and bring to boil the potatoes,remove the skin and chop large pieces.
  • Chop the onions length wise
  • Cut the green chilli and garlic small pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan add muster seeds when it cracked add urad dal fry few minutes and add saunf ,green chilli,garlic,curry leaves and onions fry for few minutes the onion cooked very well add red chilli powder,salt and potatoes ,Simmer the fire and fry for few minutes and sprinkle little water keep on simmer 5- 7 minutes .when potatoes cooked and the masala coated very well remove from fire.
  • serve with roti or puree
