OKRA MASALA

OKRA MASALA
INGREDIENTS
300g okra(BINDI -HINDI,VENDAKKAI-TAMIL
2-3 onions
3-4 tomatoes
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder1/4 cup fresh coconuts
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp jeera
1/4 tsp mathi seeds(fenugreek seeds)
few saunf seeds 1/4 tsp urad dal
salt to taste
2-3 tsp oil
METHOD
  • Grind coconut saunf and jeera a paste,
  • Chop tomatoes,onions,and okra very small pieces
  • Heat oil add mustard seeds when they cracked add urad dal, and add the onions fry few minutes and add the okra fry few minutes simmer the heat still the okra cooked (,do not cook in brown,)it well cooked add the tomatoes,red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder and salt .Fry few minutes and add the coconut paste ,keep simmer and put on lid cook for some time still the vegetable well cooked add coriander leaves and curry leaves
  • serve with rice or roti
