Ingredients
1 (300 g )small size cabbage
1/4 cup channa dal or mung dal
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
2 tomatoes
1 tsp muster seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
1 green chilli whole
1 red chilli whole
1 small size onion
1 tsp roasted jeera powder
pinch asafoetide
2 -3 tsp fresh coconut
few curry leaves
oil
salt to taste
METHOD
- Chop cabbage,onion,tomatoes very fine pieces
- Soak the dal in a 2 cup of water 10 to 15 minutes
- Cook the dal in a vessel add turmeric powder ,When dal half done add the cabbage , cooked till the vegetable and dal cooked .Add red chilli powder and coriander powder cooked simmer another few minutes.
- Heat a oil in a pan add mused seeds when they cracked add urad dal ,chopped onion ,green chilli ,red chilli.A pinch of asafoctide,fry for few minute ,add tomatoes and few curry leaves fry for few minutes and add salt.
- Now add to the cooked dal ,roased jeera powder and mix well .keep on simmer till the curry get thick.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and fresh coconut (2 spoon)
